Larry C. Brookshire
Chairman |
As the Chairman, Larry provides overall leadership and strategic planning for Fisk, which is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
Larry has enjoyed an association with Fisk spanning four decades. He began his professional career at Fisk in the early 1970’s as an estimator. After several years working in various capacities, Larry left Fisk to broaden his experience and pursue a law degree.
After obtaining his law degree Larry decided that his true passion was electrical contracting. He worked his way through the ranks and at age 38 became CEO of a company with multiple offices throughout the United States. Over the next 10 years he led the company to become the largest electrical firm in North America.
Larry’s entrepreneurial drive, however, was still not satisfied. He wanted to put his own brand on a company. While considering various career alternatives he remembered his proud days at Fisk during his early career. He saw that he and Fisk were a perfect fit. Fisk had a strong core business and a reputation for service and quality. Larry could apply lessons he learned from running a larger, more diversified firm to expand Fisk while preserving its core values and reputation. He acquired Fisk in 1996 and today is its sole shareholder.
Under Larry’s leadership, Fisk operates as a decentralized company with emphasis on accountability and a sense of ownership at the local level. Successful initiatives have been implemented to improve productivity, purchasing and management skills training. The company prides itself on its reputation for customer service and retention rates.
Prior to joining Fisk Larry was the CEO of Dynalectric, headquartered in Washington D.C. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and is a member of various industry and professional organizations including Young Presidents Organization (YPO), Chief Executives Organization (CEO) and the World Presidents Organization (WPO)
