Safety is a core value of our company. It permeates every activity we do, planning every process we build, and every discussion we have. The emphasis on safety is simple to understand. Our people and the people we work with and for are the most important assets our company has. We have the responsibility to make sure that we protect them by providing them with the tools, training, guidance, and methods to work safely and productively every day.
Fisk's safety programs start from the top down. Our safety officer has developed a team of key members in each office to form our Safety Committee. Monthly this committee meets to discuss what works, what doesn't, lessons learned, and ways to improve. Each committee member then spreads the word. Every week on every jobsite we discuss safety with every employee through toolbox meetings. Project managers detail safety in weekly correspondence to their owner. When operating safely is your culture, implementation is natural. We bring safety to the forefront with safety calendars highlighting topics each month, and we reward all our employees on safe projects with quarterly safety awards.
The results for our customers are lower cost projects. Our process, planning, and execution deliver more productive hours, less lost time due to injuries, less wasted time through re-work, and higher morale for all employees. Additional cost savings are realized in insurance premiums and bond rates which are also passed on to our customers.
